报告提要

Finite element method has been extensively used in offshore engineering. This talk will discuss the engineering computational methods for offshore and deepwater engineering problems. The author has been working in the R &D department in a world leading offshore engineering consulting company INTECSEA, the deep-water engineering specialist. He will present the latest numerical techniques used in subsea and pipeline industries. They include subsea pipeline global buckling and walking analysis based on probabilistic approach, strain based engineering critical assessment and fit-for-purpose study, subsea pipeline dynamic on-bottom stability assessment, structure blast loading FE analysis and so on.

报告人介绍

Dr Dai Keyang(戴克洋)obtained his bachelor and master degrees from civil engineering and aerospace engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He got his PhD degree from mechanical engineering, National University of Singapore in 2004. He has extensive technical expertise in structure and solid mechanics, applied mechanics and computational mechanics. He shows strong background in finite element analysis for offshore pipelines, structures and solids. He has authored 25 technical papers indexed by SCI and proposed the SFEM method, which has been cited more than 500 times. He is currently FEA specialist for a world leading offshore consultant company – INTECSEA. He has completed more than 30 projects for clients including BP, Shell, TOTAL, ExxonMobil, ADMA-OPCO, Petronas etc.
